Anyone heard this British band from the 90s? I never heard of them until a few weeks ago. I was researching the "shoegaze" genre on Wikipedia, and a sample of their song "Unfamiliar" was used as the example. I really liked what I heard, so I sampled their entire "Best of" album, and ultimately, sent for it. I think some of their music would appeal to Church fans, as it is very atmospheric guitar oriented. I like their earlier works a little better, such as "Chelsea Girl", "Drive Blind", "Taste", "Leave Them All Behind" and, of course, "Unfamiliar". These were all more "wall of sound" typical of the shoegaze genre, but also reminded me a bit of The Church at times. Their later songs had a more retro feel to them, almost 60s inspired. But I've really been enjoying their greatest hits - so far, one of those rare albums that doesn't really have any songs I skip (yet). So now I'm getting the rest of their discography, since they only released 5 albums from 1990-1996.
