hi, i rarely post on this, but often check out the conversation. HOB is a sore subject for me. my dear friend Hanani, LOVES this cd. i am a pretty avid church fan, but not afraid to have an opinion of my own either. Hanani and i did an albumn ranking a few months ago and traded lists (geeky, i know). he had HOB up towards the top. i had it second to last.

i have tried and tried to LOVE HOB for you guys, but it just didn't click for me. i think the song mixing is very different than all of the other major releases. i think the long wait for another new cd was hard, banked a lot of hope on it. HOB is still better than most tripe being released recently, but it underimpressed me. forgive me? i shouldn't have to appologize, really. i didn't hear it for two years and pulled it out after making the list. now i appreciate it for being there. my favorite band was no more, i thought, then they put this out on a recognizable label. good effort, but maybe a warm-up for the next big one.
