I still remember how ecstatic I was when I found HOB on 10/18/98. That was still in the days before I had internet and the only way I knew if there was a new Church album was to constantly visit the record store (luckily, I worked right next door to one for over 7 years! Incidentally, I also found out about SA and MATS via just going in the store and looking - BOB was the first Church CD I found out about via internet. If I had interent when I bought SA originally, maybe I'd have known about the version with the bonus disc right away instead of finding out a year after I bought it, when I found the version with the bonus disc by chance.)
I felt this album really continued in the direction of MATS (which I really liked, even though a lot of Church fans think it's a weak album) but I like HOB a little better. I would say it probably ties with AENT as my second favorite Church album. (P=A remains my favorite.)
I didn't have the "Louisianna" single until this year, and "Anyway" and "Lizard" are 2 very outstanding songs that would have fit well onto the album.
