Indeed Marcelo...
there was quite a thread on OSAH before they took away the 'Old Machine'.
BTW, we North Americans of course had the version which included
'Sisters' and 'Tear It All Away'. Thankfully. They remain among my
all-time favourite Church songs.
IMO this is the only Church material where any real 'New Wave' sound
is discernable. I agree somewhat on the songs you consider
somewhat as 'filler' but, at least they are different enough that
listening to them once in a while can capture some interest.
'Bel-Air' is another af my all-time Church 'faves'.
I know the old forum had a thread on 'datedness' and many
thought the early albums (especially OSAH) sounded this way.
It's pretty subjective but perhaps this album does, especially
the way it 'sounds'. 'Blurred Crusade' IMO certainly doesn't
'sound' dated although I know many will suggest musically it does.
Whatever, I think it's a pretty decent debut album for a band.
