i still love it. difficult to pigeonhole. between power pop, glam, new wave and a different place they visited much later. SLightly stiff 1980es production, but you can imagine the live power of the songs

i like neverness' approach, so i'll do the same for every album

1. For A Moment We're Strangers (3:52)

Anyone listened to SK's demo version? You can hear how the demo is treated by the band.
Big, jangly intro, angsty "in an empty space...", then melodic "in your icy hands..." etc. - and big chorus with beginning jangle. Harmonically interesting. Very good

2. Chrome Injury (4:02)

bang bang bang!! Like that a lot, even the handclaps. Unfortunately you can still hear the band was very careful not to make mistakes.

3. The Unguarded Moment (4:17)

:)

4. Memories In Future Tense (4:44)

This one is quite OK. Love the minor turn on "...sense".

5. Bel-Air (3:56)

First recorded masterpiece.

6. Is This Where You Live (7:38)

Tubular bells and 5+ minutes. Cool, but i like "Life Speeds Up" infinitely more. Anyway, showed "we're not your ordinary 3 minute cuties".

7. She Never Said (3:16)

Weakest track. Sounds a bit...well... police-y.

8. Fighter Pilot...Korean War (4:23)

Have listened to this several times, and can never recall it. Bit harder, dissonant rocker, right?

9. Don't Open The Door To Strangers (3:24)

Surprise. Can't you imagine Elton John playing this at some funeral for a famous stalking victim? Big orchestra, Roger Taylor on drums, female background singers...the more you'd blow this up, the cooler it gets. Wave your lighters, you masses!

10. Too Fast For You (3:28)

I agree with SK - doesnt work somehow- - - Bit awkward.

11. Tear It All Away (4:10)

Definitely heading into the right direction. Many seeds of things to come (misty jangle intro -> HW, use of textures, ...)

12. Sisters (4:05)

Catchy. Like it.
...because strange is what we need
