Heatherspace, I just have to say "ditto" to your post. Marcelo, the space is something that I have never been able to put my finger on. When I think of Starfish I think of the white cover, the sea, summer... clean, clear and cool. There was something very refreshing about these songs in 1988. Like finding something sparkling amongst a handful of sand... glittering...

This album holds the songs together so beautifully. It is almost the opposite of Heyday, where Heyday was full, rich and lavish, Starfish was sparse, fresh and light. I think it was Brian that brought times of day and seasons to mind... For me, Heyday is Autumn and Starfish is Summer.

Hotel Womb still captures my imagination lyrically and UTMW still captures my heart.
