My favorite listening memory of GAF is walking through a park in Madrid, with small pockets of sunshine in the cloudy sky, fallen leaves on the ground, and an autumn chill in the air. Everything came together perfectly for a wonderful afternoon stroll. So I always think of GAF as as an autumn album - especially since it was followed by P=A, which is so cold that it has to represent winter. Come to think of it, Heyday has a springtime freshness to it, and Starfish simmers through a hot summer, so there you have it, a complete seasonal cycle in 7 years of recordings.
