I never quite understood why "You're Still Beautiful" was released as a single -- or should it be obvious? I skip it every single time I listen to this album. The guitar I quite like, but everything else about it drives me a bit batty. It's not really a Church song, IMO. There's no grace to it. You can write a nasty little ditty and still have grace.

"Essense" is my favorite track as well, though I also love "Grind, "Pharaoh", and "Transient." But yes, there is quite a bit of filler on this one. I by no means find this to be a horrible album -- in fact, I've probably listened to this album more than Heyday -- but there are so few moments where it truly transports me, like Starfish or Priest=Aura.
