Reptile and Tantalized are the most reworked songs. Reptile has morphed into a lounge-lizard, slow, jazzy and tripping over its many feet as it winds its way through a maze of slightly altered lyrics. I love this version. Tantalized is even more surprising, the once noisy, cluttered rocker changed beyond recognition into a strange slow Middle Eastern thing. It is amazing how much this song can mutate. A few years ago I hear a blistering post-punk version live. I'm not sure how much repeated listening this version will stand up to but that may be due to me not taking enough drugs. :D

Pure Chance as a male/female duet is different too although lacking the drama of the original. The quieter NSEW version has a lovely new riff in it, a great little reworking.

There are three new songs. Comeuppance is an instrumental. Song In The Afternoon and Bordello both have a semi-improvised, uneven, b-side quality to them. Bordello in particular has some totally brilliant moments and some grating ones. They are not as fully realised as some of the new songs on EMD.
