Ahhh B-Side...that was a good magazine. Since it
basically covered all the 'second-tier' alternative
bands (those with a modicum of commercial viability
and goodly amounts of artistic integrity, but not real
popular w/ lots of airplay), when the 2nd tier imploded
and melted away in the mid-1990's, so did the
magazine. Perusing the shelves of Barnes and Noble
each time I am there, I haven't really been able to find
its like since (you either get trendy crap like Spin or
white bread efforts with piss-poor depth anymore).

Oh-the album. A strange uneven mixture of the
moody, brooding, sparkling, trite, and just plain
dull. Faves include Day of the Dead, Two Places,
Authority (a cute little dittie which succeeds
because it doesn't try too hard), and the last
two, plus Freeze to Burn and Cut in Two from
the bonus disc. The middle of the main album
is like an Oreo-too bland and featureless.
