Bearing in mind I think Blurred Crusade is the band's best (although I really liked HOB, nearly as much), this release was hard to like.
I was thrilled to see a new Church album available (in the dark days before the advent of sites like this to inform us heathen Canadians where Church news is like Elvis sightings, it happens, but you're never sure about the source, and the veracity of the info). I was disappointed to see only 2 members left.
The album has some great songs, and some songs that I just can't get into. Despite the volume issus I really like Two Places at Once. However, the eastern influence doesn't float my boat so I struggle with some of the music.
Still I like the album as it was such a happy surprise to see a new album. Even better, the local press (Vancouver BC Canada) even did a review of the album. Even more impressive they gave a positive review. The reviewer actually seemed to know something about the band beyond UTMW!!
It is an album well worth the effort to get into, IMHO.
