Interesting. Sometime Anywhere was my first album by the Church, so I suppose I had the advantage of coming to it with no expectations. I had never heard of the band before, so what did I know about how they should sound. Two places at once it still among my very favorite songs. The low sound level is irritating, but something about it pulls at the old heartstrings. My Little Problem, Eastern, The Myths You Made, Lost My Touch. It's very different from most of their other work (obviously), but I find that it still has a solid sense of itself, and while it was made during a difficult time for the band, the remaining members used the opportunity to go in interesting directions.
They haven't made an album I don't like, I guess, but this would probably be one of the last to get cut off my desert island list.
