Just before I got FY in the mail I downed Glenn's Two Places vid, and it threw me into the SA mode. Fly Home and Dead Man's Dream are the ones I loved at the time, when that came out. But that was before I could see Pink Floyd for the Cheesy Bullshit they have become/were. I saw them at "Joe Robbie Stadium" in Miami in the same time period, and it was so stupid and cliche. People were all around me cheering, but it was so predictable. A major disappointment.
But back to the church. Those two songs are still good, but I have come to love other songs that I hated. "My Little Problem" aT THE time I thought was hiddeous, but the acoustic versions I have heard, with an without Marty, are Magic. Day of the Dead and Authority have held up from then till now, but that shit on the second CD was Hell!
Time Being and Drought are good songs, but the rest is trash, like the cover of the album. It looks like it came from a back Mandarin Slum Flea Market Circus Act. I honestly Hate that cover.
Lost My Touch is sort of clever in my Opinion, but it does sound like an SK solo song, like Narcosis or something. Loveblind is good, not great.
Eastern, Angelica, and Lullaby are boring IMO. The compilation of the good stuff between the two discs is the obvious church-fan task.
