I know I commented on this album before, but I'm not sure in which thread. Anyway, I got this album in June 1994 originally. At the time, I didn't know about the version with the bonus CD, but I did find that version in 1995 and re-bought it. Anyway, when I first saw this CD and that the only 2 band members were SK and MWP, I was a bit concerned. Initially, I wasn't very impressed with this album. I was expecting something more along the lines of P=A, but this was much different. However, it grew on me over time. I thought that "My Little Problem" and "Two Places at Once" sounded more like something from "The Blurred Crusade" era Church. I liked all of the songs except "The Maven" and "Angelica", and have never really been able to get into them. This isn't my most played Church CD, but I still listen to it occasionally.
The bonus disc isn't bad. I really liked "Drought", "The Time Being", and "The Myths You Made" (I thought MWP sounded like Bryan Adams on this song). I never really got into "Freeze to Burn" or "Macabre Tavern", though.
Personally, I always really liked the album cover.
"Somewhere in the wilderness, you wander like a river, crossing the wheatfields and crying to the sorry ocean. You're crying to the sorry ocean, wrapped in the arms of night."
