Speaking of intake manifolds, I was driving my little black truck home from work this evening. It is in its twilight years I'm afraid (hey Tony!). When its stereo died a few years ago I never bothered to replace it. So as I drove I was softly murmuring to myself -jumping from the Animals to the Moody Blues to MYRRH. I was given pause thinking of the lyric 'and we talk about the way people treat us back there, the hollow laughter, the pain in their eyes'.
I had long thought of the people's eyes aching from trying to see God (a la 'how can you be so invisible?') - but it ocurred to me that it wasn't the poor folks in Jericho whose eyes were strained; it was the fans in the crowd, straining their eyes trying to imbue the man on stage (herr Kilbey) with godliness.
Myrrh exists on several planes I surmise.
I always took manifolds to be synonomous with patchbay. That is a device for routing audio signal about, used in studios, etc.
Cheers, Noel
