Green Monkeys?

There are some in the Barbados islands. According to the Encyclopdia Britannica they are from Africa, is one of the species called Guenon, scientific family name Cercopithecus
"Cerco-pithecus monkeys descend into the city" could be a variation in the lyrics.:)
I stil think they're winged monkeys, I am under the impression that some of statues that can be seen next to traditional gargoyles would look like monkeys with wings. That image may be in a self-reinforcing loop for me.

Strange as it may seem my "obsession" with the Time Being doesn't extend to the Further Adventures.
It's a fine song, good lyrics, it may even be one of the finest MWP lyrics, but the images here don't grip me was much, and the music of the song never made such a strong impression on me. Maybe I actually expected something closer to the original...
I actually don't see it as a true continuation of The Time Being. Those in the Further Adventures are different beings, maybe the remote cousins of the Time Being, maybe his children.

If you were a fan of Babylon 5 you may agree with me that this song would be a fitting theme for The First Ones, or maybe a song from future times, sang by those that met humans after they took the place of the First Ones, well into the third age of mankind, or maybe into a fourth one.

Until there is an official lyrics book I would go with the lyrics at the discography for the time being...
Some lines are different from those in Noel's version.

I tend to think this is MWP interpretation of SK lyrics for the Time Being, a different take in a similar concept. Somewhere in the infinity of multiiverses, around 10^1111 meters, give or take a few zillion meters, far from here there may be a Peter Koppes "time being" song... maybe a part of The Refo:mation CD in a parallel universe, I would like to hear it...
