I can swear it says: "Mac AV . System Overload. The audio engine was not able to process all required data in time."

To me it sounds like it's a synthesized voice from a Mac, specifically the Victoria voice. The Speech control panel in MacOS 9 has the option for having the computer speak the text of alert messages. That phrase sounds to me like it could have come from a warning screen of a software application for recording.

I may be imagining this, I'd like to know if other Mac users can try having the computer speak that phrase and tell me if they found the sound similar.

It would be interesting if the phrase indeed came from that...
