I wonder if because this album is receiving so much ohhs and ahhhs from the so called "know it all" critics that it is actually hurting the perception of this fine album? If this album were to fall under the radar screen, I wonder if amongst the less pop culture oriented souls (such as ourselves) we might perceive it differently?

Sort of like the U-2 / REM transmigration over the last decade.

I too agree that YHF is certainly not anything definitive in terms of a generation, or cultural thing, it is just a fine album, nothing more.
