Sorry, Noel... but come now...

"It's a very good album, Amanda. It just bothers me that critics are going to laud whatever Wilco puts out (for now)."

"Honestly, I don't care what critics say about anything since I don't read any music press. I don't listen to the radio or watch music television either."

So, you like the album. Fair enough... But, you are pissed off because it is highly applauded? Would you rather a crap album gets the good reviews? And one minute you are upset with the critics and the next, you don't care what they say. Well you must care or you wouldn't be slagging off an album that is "very good".

Leave Lloyd Cole, Steve Kilbey and Grant McLennan out of this. They are doing what they have always done and what they always will... every now and then it will be what the public wants, but there is no guarantee of that. If people choose to ignore it, so be it. It's their loss. You can lead a horse to water etc.

I am so sick of hearing about how our true "heroes" are going unnoticed. So that would be why the Church are about to put out a remix collaboration album (as people "want" to work with them). Why Lloyd Cole gets fabulous live reviews and why Grant McLennan is touted as one of Australia's best songwriters. It all comes down to perspective.

I am yet to listen to this new Wilco release, and to be honest, it doesn't phase me whether others like it or hate it. I will make up my own mind when I give it a listen. That's how it usually works, Noel.
