Heresy CD II

1. Tony P w/Daniel W (Electric): disc II starts of with this uptempo, upbeat version. This reworking features some very solid bass groove and top notch Tony P guitar work. For some reason this reminds me of latin music, probably the pumping bass line. All I did is sing on this and add a bucket of flange to the intro drums, Tony gets credit on everything else.
2. Altres (No Certainty Attached): NCA starts of with some funkified techno sounds, then breaks into 21st century lounge with an excellent vocal and nice sound effects on said vocal. This is one of the most interesting interpretations on the comp, with enough familiar that youll like it, but enough different that you cant help but appreciate the genius.
3. Cosmetic Attitude (Hotelwomb): This cover of HW is totally different from Maurizios version on CD I. It begins with a sample of rainwater before breaking into the real thing. When it does start it sounds like a 60s psychedelic take on things. Vocals are very good one this, as is the bass and guitars. Lay back on the pillow, close your eyes and get taken away. One of the compilations best songs.
4. Alton (Paradox): this is faithful in feel and sound to the original P=A version. I could imagine the original Chuch demo of Paradox being a lot like this Its good.
5. Lunelac (Lost): floating through the clouds version of lost, with a hint of early Pink Floyd thrown in. Nice work.
6. John Black (Night Is Very Soft): who wouldve expected to hear this song covered? With the execption of Johns vocal style being different the rest sounds very much like the original. The vocal harmonies take it to a different place though Excellent guitars.
7. Tony P (Dropping Names): another of my Sance favs, but with the patented Pucci-vox and some Kraftwerk sounds blended in. And then stir in a bit of 70s porn wah and you have it 
8. Magnetosphere (Field Of Mars): This is good, with another unique vocal style (a little Dylan-esque) and complete with 12 string acoustics and ebow.
9. Sweet Harriot (This Is It): This is the heroin version, with a low dark vocal to go along with it. Think of pouring cold maple syrup out of a bottle and you get the vibe of this cover. Ingenious.
10. John Black (Fading Away): Great slide work really add to the feel in the intro and throughout the song, I really love the tone. This is a great song anyway, hard to go wrong.
11. Cosmetic Attitude (Ripple): another P=A fave. Very trippy. Very textured, good vocals and guitar tones.
12. Tom & Paul (Loveblind-acoustic): This version is much like the other version (I believe just a more stripped down mix of the same recording). Really lets the lyrics and acoustic guitars shine.
13. Chrome Yellow (UTMW): Not a great recording sonically as is the case with many live recordings, but a worthwhile listen. Just imagine getting to play this at your school back in the day! Nice, it rocks. Tony cuts loose on the vocal in a way that totally surprised me about 2 minutes into it, and the guitar solo is good too.
14. John Frum (Dont Look Back): Nice full acoustics, based on a nice solid kick drum and tom fills. Perfectly subdued vocals help retain the originals flavor. Slide guitars sounding like whale-song. Short and sweet.

Good job all!
