For the last week or two I have gotten e-mails from fans of The Fixx. I wrote a review of "Reach the Beach" for Newspapertaxi and had a few things fall incongruent with the facts. My overall less than favourable opinion of the fixx was for certain the actual catalyst in the heat I've been taking, but I gave good squeek for greasy wheels.

Anyway, my point is, I ended up checking out the fixx site, and message board. The Fixx had a couple of good albums, but whatever you do, don't buy Elemental. On the Forum, at www.thefixx.com I found out how different a message board can be. There is almost no "community" at all. I have made about 8 posts, on different subjects, and haven't even been recognised at all (I made no initial connection to myself or newspapertaxi). There have even been posts by "fixxtures" beneath me. That could never happen here.

I found that some there like the church under one of the threads, but I think I will keep hanging out around here. Still, I admit, when someone gets critical of the church, and say, for instance, they get the # of members in the band wrong in the review, I can only imagine the way we would jump all over that too.

cheers to fixx fans,

may your band keep rockin' too!
