The average lack of geographical knowledge in the US, it's becoming legendary, I've seen this reported several times over the years. Maybe I shouldn't make fun of it though...
"Mexico ranked last with an average score of 21, just three points from a failing grade"
Actually according to our traditional scale of 0-10 that's a failing grade even in elementary school, where 6 is the passing grade (which becomes 7 for college and can even be 8 for graduate studies).
This disturbs me, I'm gonna write a letter to "Chente" Fox.:)

It's disturbing how little the world in general seems to care for the rest of the world, or is it how quickly geography is forgotten? Maybe it's a problem with the teaching of geography being mostly based in rote memorization, and geography not being correlated to history and current events by the teachers.
