I think these tests are quite interesting and I would go so far as to say, that they may correlate with the number of Americans who actually travel outside of their country. Isn't there a statistic somewhere of the percentage of Americans who actually OWN a passport?

The way I see it... if you travel, then your interest in the rest of the world and it's cultures, will be sparked. This will lead you to learn geography and current affairs of your own accord (furthering and refreshing your knowledge from school). If you don't travel, you run the risk of becoming ethnocentric.
