My favourite thing, for a long time, was the drive to the beach. There's something about it that lends to rocking out with great music. The Church in particular.

I have no vehicle now, a bicycle yes, but live 45 miles inland and have learned to improvise. I love to go to the pool of a near-by apartment complex and zone out with the head phones wearing my Blue-Blockers (the effect is real, and great for overcast) and watch the clouds dance. The fringes swirl and swoon like cream in a blue coffee sky, they suck me up and in as I feel the same sun on my skin that caused their excitement. Sometimes there are kids playing in the shallow end too, they do the same dance, the only dance there is. With all this going on, along with a couple of Coronas to drink and/or bikinis to watch, well, I'm just there.

I've been listening to a lot of old tapes at work. A lot of memories surface. All I have access to is a tape-deck there, and it's great to hear old compilations I haven't heard in years, and made even more years before that. It really takes me back, and it can feel quite like this or that emotion...

...and I loved what you wrote Noel. :)
