As a note, Michio Kushi is an authority on the non-vegan/vegetarian-macrobiotic diet. He is fun to read. Shows the application of Eastern philosophy in health.

As a second note, I made mention of "whole grain rice," I meant short grain. The fluffy white stuff you get with your take out is next to worthless, like white bread, and sugar. Sugar!

Check out The Sugar Blues by William Duffy. This is also a suprisingly good read. I just remembered it while writing this. Shows sugar's parallel history with heroin and then the more pragmatic aspects of abstinence.

I'm sorry you don't like tofu Camel, I think we agree though, that there is plenty of other good stuff out there to eat that is healthy, and not fast food/meat.
