Hell yes. Saw it yesterday, thought it was awesome, hope to see it again ASAP.

As a devotee of the graphic novel, I had been pretty worried in the past 12 months, mostly due to Zack Snyder's presence as director. I only (just) managed to watch the first 25 minutes of 300 and thought it complete and utter wank, so I was a bit scared he might reduce the amazing Watchmen to similar levels of tripe.

Instead, I found myself marvelling at the brilliant job he'd done in bringing the book to life, and wondering if the "uninitiated" will get the same level of enjoyment out of it. It's obviously not a perfect film, but it is a great one, and an impressive adaptation of one of modern "literature"s most complex, thought-provoking works.

I'm sure there will be plenty of people left scratching their heads or even pissed off with the film ... but they can all suck my glowing blue balls.

EDIT: Jackie Earl Haley as Rorschach is on a par with Ledger's Joker, IMO.

I really need a decent sig.
