The right venue can be hard to coordinate on a tour, sometimes the one you want just isnt available at the right time, the stars just dont align when you're due to hit that town. I see Harrahs in KC is on the tour schedule. This is a casino? Cant imagine the ambience will be great, but hopefully the audience will

Harrah's Casino would be a shitty venue but they are actually playing a place called the Voodoo Lounge which is owned by Harrahs. I'm driving up from Texas (a good ways for those that don't know) and did a bit of research on the Voodoo. By all accounts that I could find it is a pretty cool place that has hosted alot of cool shows in the past. Ambience shouldn't be an issue (I hope).

Chrome, I find your thoughts interesting and with merit. The opening track on each album since BC (Fly, Myrrh, Destination, Pharaoh, Aura, Day Of The Dead, Welcome, Anaesthesia, Numbers, Sealine, Block, Snowfaller and Jazz even) have been tour guideish in their introduction to the tracks that follow. Each sets the table for what follows and each in it's own way defines the whole. By those standards, Cobalt Blue succeeds at a very high level for it does indeed set the table for what follows. By Church opening track standards it is a resounding success. Hard to say what I'm (and Chrome) attempting to get at here but I follow and understand your logic.
