Irritation. That's what I'm feeling right now. I purposely didn't order "Untitled #23" months ago, because I knew it was getting a U.S. release, 2 weeks ago today. I also decided not to send for it online when it was released, because I've bought the past few new Church CDs at Record Theatre, on the release date, so I figured I'd keep the tradition, and support local record store. Well, 5/12/09 came around and I went to Record Theatre after work, excitedly looking forward to the new Church CD... and they didn't get it in! They looked it up on their computer, saw that it was in fact released that day, and didn't know why they didn't get it in, but they offered to special order it. Against my better judgement, I said okay - although I would rather have checked another store, given my long history with Record Theatre, I gave them the benefit of a doubt. So a last week, I went back again... still no "Untitled #23". This time the manager was there that I know (who, incidentally, is also a Church fan and is going to the concert) and he told me that they sometimes have problems with certain distributors, and we placed the order again, which should have arrived today. So today, I just called after work, and sure enough... no "Untitled #23". So this is what I get for being a nice guy and trying to support the local business. I came home and ordered at at amazon.com! Hopefully, I'll finally have it by the end of the week and finally get to enjoy what every other Church fan has been enjoying for the past 2 weeks!

Sometimes distribution problems are also a sign of demand higher than expected. We can all only hope.
