ynnpar - yeah, I'm pretty close - The Church have been my rock idols for 17 years now! Even though I was shaking towards the end, I thought I handled myself pretty well. I felt like I was all calm and collected when Steve first showed up at the merch table, and even when I was telling him I own one of his paintings. All along, he came across very cordial, a real gentleman. I think I probably started shaking after he took the picture with me, because he just put his arm around my shoulder, and I wasn't expecting that. It's clear to me, though, that he really appreciates his fans. As for Marty, while I was waiting to get him to sign my poster, this guy in front of me tripped on the steps of the stage to get to him, so I didn't feel as nervous! I did have to wait a little while because he was talking with the other guys before me, but it was worth the wait. I'm very grateful that Peter signed the poster, because he really seemed like he wanted to be left alone. And Tim was very approachable, just like having a conversation with my next door neighbor. But honestly, all of them came across as real gentlemen.

hanani - I was still remembering even more details the 2 days after the concert, and I wrote them all down for myself. I feel I left a more than detailed account here, but I wanted to remember as many details as possible. Who knows if The Church will ever come out this way again? I never would have imagined 17 years ago that I would one day meet all of the band members. I always heard they put on a good show - they not only met, but exceeded my expectations!

glynnisjohns - I don't know, but if anyone did film the Tralf show, I would LOVE a copy of it!

Anyway, as promised, I have the pictures I took! My brother stopped by and returned my camera case that I left in his car the night of the concert. I'm eternally grateful to him for going with me, because if he hadn't, I probably would have forgotten everything I bought, as well, since I was in such a trance state from meeting them all! Sorry the performance pictures didn't turn out so great - although I was pretty close, my camera's not the best!

imageMe and Steve Kilbey!

imageThe poster all 4 of them signed. I had it framed 3 days later!

imageSteve Kilbey's "Self Portrait - Skeptic Glance" and the poster from that unforgettable night, side by side!

imageMy copy of "untitled #23" that Steve signed. Since I was having all the other guys sign the poster, I didn't have the nerve to ask them all to sign the CD, as well. (Also, originally, I thought Steve might be the only one I got to meet in person!)
