twas a great day and a magical show... i had avoided any mention of previous setlists so each song was like a little surprise,
bouncing all over the catalog quite nicely...
a dark sparse barn with minimal frills was the Tupelo Music Hall, quintessential New England!
lovely porch with rocking chairs, a welcome rest after riding my bike
all over Londonderry on the first sunny day in FOREVER...
oh i got burnt in many ways...
finally met the wonderful and gracious Holly after years of excellent art dealings,
enjoyed our conversations greatly, sorry i didn't get a chance to say good bye after the show as i was fairly blissed out in merchland,
but it was a joy, thank you...
got the gleeful oppurtunity to meet Steve and share my jazz records and space cakes with him
over a relaxed little conversation about jazz records basically...
what more could a stoner ask for than to fire up his favorite band?!?
filled my cup it did!
seeing the soundcheck was an added bonus, the funny yet edgy familial bickering, the merciless clock,
Craigies Beverly Hills 90210 shirt which led to some humorous riffing...
btw, i must say Craig was awesome to watch, especially with Adam Franklin in the fill in bass role, the kid rocked!!!
i shant go into detail about the setlist and all that jazz, but the feeling was great...
aside from the heat and humidity which made tuning an almost every song necessity, there were no tech issues to speak of,
no energy killing gremlins of ground hum...
the band is just better than ever, focused, burning, building and tearing down and rebuilding at will...
all energy, no autopilot, absolutely amazing after all this time...
that's what pure love will do...
can't wait to do it again!
Londonberry!!!

so anyhow, i did get some video plus a little road montage coupled with the Block solo for all to peruse...
i left my nicer Sony camera at the hotel to save weight in my bag as i was on my bicycle...
kinda dumb move, as i could have walked right in with it, c'est la vie...
so the audio isn't the best, but it's not insufferable either...
if anyone can get better audio for this show, let me know...
Pablo, you out there? i can get you cheap mountain bike parts...
oh well, i know many fans out there may never get to see a show,
so here are links to my YouTube channel, where live from Marty's monitor, it's The Church!!!
with a wee bit of lysegic editing thrown in by me, but of course...
a few more to come...

cheers all!
