Chrommo, that cover looks GREAT. And yes, Motörizer is truly a great album. As I suspected you´re not familiar at all with Motörhead´s discography. Allow me to recommend you to start with "No parole", for example, a good compilation. And, no, Motorhead doesnt make the same stuff over and over again. Your gratitous statement that they make the same stuff ( a)Brian Robertson contribution in "Another perfect day", what about "Orgasmatron??....whatever) really puts out that your knowledge about this great band is too little. But, is there any problem in following the same formula? If it works and you can come out with good albums?? Anyway, at this point I´d like to remind you that while we were suckling on our mother´s teet Lemmy was on stage kicking ass.

On the other hand, why do the fans that always give good reviews think that they´re the best fans?? it´s something I still dont understand. That reviewer from Rolling Stone who gave 5 stars to this last album, has he followed them for most than 20 something years, does he has their entire discography, knows his solo projects, and more important: does he spent his fucking money in their releases, t-shirts, videos (VHS, DVD) bio, etc??? Or he just recieved the album for free and his boss told him to review it. Why do we give so much credit to the review from a guy who writes in a magazine, and most probably dont really know a shit about The Church?? I´m not saying those guys doesnt know about The Church, but I dont have to validate their opinion just because they write in a music magazine.

My opinion is that some bands evolve well, and others sometimes get stuck in a rut, or get lost. We have plenty of examples. I just simply think that the album is a bad album, and that´s all. Next one will be better or worse. After HOB, AENT (although this one is a special case), FY (a great album), ULTC and U23 I think they need a change. And that change will imply the view of an external person AKA a producer. Andy talked about "dynamics", I do agree, and dynamics is closely related with the heart of a band, the drumming. That guy, Polinski, did a great job in the mixing of MATS and the mastering of the Mimesis album, they both sound good. Listen at the initial snare beats in "Comedown", that sound of the drums was great, brings life to the song, and that Polinski captured it really well. Why dont they dont use him again?

But it´s just an opinion.

As Andy said, maybe real fans are more critical than critics.
