actually, i think this DVD would have been a good candidate for a pledge campaign. i don't imagine the up-front production costs were that huge, and once those were covered (with pledgers receiving the DVD, a "thank you" in the booklet or whatever), the finished DVD could have been offered at a much lower price. i'm not slagging the product as it is, i just agree with you guys that the Church are exactly the sort of band that could use the pledge system to their advantage: they already have a formidable, devoted fan base to tap.
