As some of you may or may not be aware of, Charcoal Ed is also the moniker applied to the musical collaboration/experiement of Psychodelic Art & Design between myself and my brother Ryan.
For the last year, we have been recording our third album, "Trinary" - and now, the result of those long sessions has been completed, and is now available for all ears willing to listen.
Charcoal Ed takes its sound cues and stylistic leanings from many diverse sources - ours is an instrumental music, growing and changing with each successive release. The sound of the new album is one of rhythmic propulsion, melodic structure and ambient soundscapes. Influenced by the sounds of Tangerine Dream, Depeche Mode, The Orb, Underworld, Robert Fripp and much of the obscure ambient/experimental/trance scene, we present it in a totally independant, confrontationally punk aesthetic.
I know the Hotel Womb isnt exactly the place to solicit ones own goods or advertise.....but the album, along with our self titled experimental first release, and its very ambient followup, "The Iconoclast" is available for purchase through our website:

We hope to have mp3's available soon for people to download, and potentially a wider distribution network. Details are sure to follow, along with our upcoming contribution of "Invisible" to the Church Covers album that Tony is compiling.
